We found this beauty a long time ago at a thriftshop for about 15 euros. Me and this lamp go back a long time, since the tall version of it is still present in my parents house. As a child I found the shape of this lamp quite ridiculous, I just didn’t like the “sterile” plastic and the UFO-like design…I was more appealed to those old-fashioned lamps with shades made of hog’s blatter back then.
Luckily people change…

Wij vonden deze lamp een tijd geleden in een kringloop voor ongeveer 15 euro. Mijn herinneringen eraan gaan een hele tijd terug, omdat de lange versie ervan in mijn ouderlijk huis staat (en stond). Als kind vond ik het ontwerp belachelijk, het plastic te steriel en de UFO vorm onaantrekkelijk. Nee, gaf mij toen maar zo’n gezellige lamp met een kap van varkensblaas.
Gelukkig kunnen mensen veranderen…

If she’s in the right mood, I might even write a little Molly article today. But first big news (well, it’s not THAT big, but I’m just a Very Enthusiastic Person ;-)). I opened a Planet Fur Flickr account today. And boy, what beautiful treasures I already found there! Wheehoo. Should have done that years ago. Enjoy!

Als ze in de juiste bui is, schrijf ik vandaag ook nog een artikeltje over Molletje. Maar eerst groot nieuws (nou ja, ‘groot’..ik ben gewoon Erg Enthousiast ;-)). Ik heb een Planet Fur Flickr account geopend. Wat een schat aan prachtige foto’s! Joehoe. Dat had ik dus al veel eerder moeten doen.

…I bought my very own petticoat. Swinging fifties here I come!

Eindelijk vond ik de ideale petticoat. Nu nog een Marilyn Monroe kapsel en ik kan zo in een jaren ’50 film.
