Hou je van de foto’s in Oh Marie! en wil je leren hoe je zelf mooie foto’s maakt voor je weblog of website? Op 8 juni aanstaande geef ik een workshop productfotografie in samenwerking met Ellen Vesters (de eigenaar van conceptstore Immer Urlaub, sinds vrijdag 17 mei open!). Kosten p.p. zijn € 35, incl. materiaal, thee, koffie en taart. Locatie Utrecht, max. 8 personen. Opgeven kan via een e-mail aan Urlaub!

We will be hosting a workshop product photography at June 8 2013. This will take place in Utrecht, The Netherlands. In Dutch only, sorry!

De zon schijnt als je met de Sandy Coast op stap bent. Of het nu komt door de fles Californische wijn die voor je klaarstaat of de oranje gordijntjes waar het ochtendlicht doorheen valt: het leven in deze Volkswagen Westfalia camper uit 1973 is een warm genoegen.

De wereld ligt voor je open, de natuur lonkt. Alle zorgen zijn vergeten; je waant je in een andere tijd. Ons volledige (foto)verslag volgt in de volgende Oh Marie! (22 juni). Kun je niet wachten? Trakteer jezelf dan op een tripje met de Sandy Coast of Little Miss Sunshine. Ga op retro camperavontuur! Wij mijmeren nog even door over de heerlijke zelfgebrouwen koffie en de gezellige oranje skai bekleding…

The sun always shines when you’re on the road with Sandy Coast. Whether by the complimentary bottle of Californian wine or the morning sun that shines through the orange curtains: life in the 1973 Volkswagen Westfalia camper is a true delight. Put your troubles aside: the road calls, there’s a whole new world to discover.

Tijdens de launch van Oh Marie! kregen alle aanwezigen een piñata met daarin een klein gekringloopt item met daarbij de opdracht dit item te fotograferen in een interieursetting, de foto op hun blogs of Instagram te zetten (met #ohmariemag) en het door te geven aan een volger die datzelfde doet, enzovoort. Ahoy, nummer 3 is in zicht!

Ach, de zee. En de wind en de krijsende meeuwen en de zilte zeelucht. Ik groeide er niet nabij op en heb niet bepaald zeebenen, maar na het maken van dit nummer wil ik me in een matrozenpak hijsen en aanmonsteren op het eerste het beste schip dat ik tegenkom. Nog één nachtje slapen (al dan niet in je kooi), zaterdagmorgen is het zo ver!

Aah, de briny ocean. And the wind and the screaming seagulls. I didn’t grew up near the sea nor do I have sea legs, but after making this issue I want to put on a sailor’s suit and sign on by the first vessel I cross paths with. Whether you’ll sleep in a bunk or a bed, only one night to go..Saturday morning we’ll publish the brand new issue!

Een bezoek aan het Hoge Noorden, bij lieve Martine (met haar twee katten en schatten van jongens). En kroelen met Sonic van fotografe Danique, die meer voor Oh Marie! gaat doen (hoera!). Je kent haar al uit het 0-nummer van Oh Marie! waarin ze vertelde over haar favoriete analoge foto.

A visit to the North, to dear Martine, her two cats and sweet boys. And cuddling with Sonic, Danique’s furry friend. Danique is a very talented photographer who’s going to do fab things for Oh Marie! (hurray!). You probably know her from issue 0, where she tells us about her favourite analogue picture.
